Awwww. I miss Gerald, too - it would be nice if they gave us a snippet now and then. I can totally imagine Ducky being an agony uncle to him and having a fund of stories and wisdom to pass along. I love that you managed to get two Ducky stories in here, nice one! And I didn't expect anyone to manage to combine this slightly odd and potentially silly challenge into really a genuinely touching story. Nicely done!
Author's Response: It has long been established that I'm useless at anything light-hearted or humorous, so I stick with what I'm vaguely okay with...I liked Gerald too, I wish they could have given him a 'recurring' role, it would have been fun to see what happened to him. Thank you for the review and for selecting this as challenge winner, I thought it was a very good premise, I'm sorry you didn't have more entries to choose from.

such a good lesson for all of us!
And it's good to know what happened with Gerald-he just disappeared
Author's Response: I liked Gerald, I wish they'd bring him back for an occasional visit! Many thanks for taking time to read and review this one, I enjoyed using a couple of Ducky stories to offer a little life lesson.:)
